La Recyclerie is one of the spots we like the most in Paris because of its original atmosphere of a refurbished train station from the Petite Ceinture. This is a lively place which aims to sensitize the population about the ecological values in a playful and positive way. They based their values around 3 Rs: Reduce, Re-use, Recycle.
Here, you can either go and drink a beer with your friends, or attend a conference on the collapse of biodiversity around the globe. You can also work as a volunteer in the urban farm or repair an old coffee machine in René's workshop and fight against panned obsolescence. You get it, La Recyclerie is one of those spots where you feel good and where you can meet a lot of welcoming and interesting people.
Shizen : a Japanese Christmas Market 🎄🗻
Yes you read well. La Recyclerie just announced that for this 2020 Christmas, they will create a market with a Japanese theme. During the 12 and the 13 of December, La Recyclerie opens its doors and invites you to discover Shizen, a Christmas Market that enables Parisians to get introduced to the depth of Japanese culture.
"Shizen" which means "Nature" in Japanese, is an ephemeral Christmas village and presents 22 shops selling Christmas gifts revolving around the Nature theme. Come and immerse yourselves in a 100% Japanese setting from Okinawa's delicious gastronomy, to the Great North of Hokkaido.
Sadly with the current pandemic situation, all the workshops, film projections, exhibitions and concerts won't be able to take place. You'll still be able to walk around this magical village and buy Japanese themed gifts for all your family!
So save the date! 😉
