The Guimet Museum opens its roof terrace!

On the Iena place in the 16th arrondissement, there is a splendid building called the Guimet Museum. This museum showcases Asian art and history. Its creator, Emile Guimet was an art collector and a French manufacturer. In 1876, he went around the world and brought back to France a large amount of Asian and Egyptian art pieces. He even exchanged his Egyptian pieces against Asian pieces with the Musée du Louvre.

A rooftop with an Eiffel Tower view.

Starting from July the 8th, this beautiful museum will open its doors again. New feature: we can now access the amazing museum's rooftop. The rooftop is located at the top of the rotunda of the building which hosts a beautiful library. It will be open every day until 6pm (9pm on Thursday) for us to enjoy an unobstructed view of the world-famous Eiffel Tower. Both the library and the rooftop will be accessible for the public which means you're not obligated to pay an entry to the museum to enjoy the rooftop. Warning for ice cream lovers! The museum will set up a handmade ice creams stand for us to cool down during the warm summer.
